Thesis: Management during a Crisis with a special focus on Arcandor AG
During this Project five students, including myself worked on a 60-page thesis which mainly concentrated itself on topics such as: Change Management, Turnaround and Restructuring a company during a crisis. This thesis was supervised not only by Prof. Dr. Voigt for the Chair of Industrial Management, but also by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Heinrich von Pierer, the former CEO of Siemens AG. After handing out our thesis, we had the privilege to present our findings and solutions in front of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Heinrich von Pierer and 30 other people, and received an outstanding grade of 1,3 (A) which was the best grade among six other groups.
Thesis: Fundamentals of middle sized World Market Leaders During this Project I had the opportunity and pleasure to visit the seminar of Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Helmut Haussmann our former Federal Minister for Economy and German representative for the Asia-Europe-Foundation (ASEF). While attending the seminar, Prof. Haussmann and our group visited Semikron a global middle sized market leader for electronic semiconductors, located in Nuremberg. This seminar had a special focus on Hidden Champions and Fundamentals of middle sized World Market Leaders.
